Gay Activists, Black Ministers Seek Common Ground

African-American ministers were vocal supporters of Proposition 8, which barred same-sex marriage in California. Now that D.C.’s city council has voted to recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere, gay rights activists hope to rally the city’s black ministers to their side.
