A young, 25-yr old Crosby resident, Joshua Herd, died at the scene when his van struck a tree while driving southbound in the 11900 block of Orleans at Cottontail Drive.

According to investigators, he did not have his headlights on. They were not sure why his headlights were off; there was no indication that alcohol was involved.

A 43-year old man from Crosby, Texas died after flipping his Chevy Silverado while heading west on State Road 80 in Florida.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Robert Brooks Verm swerved into the median, over-corrected, and flipped his SUV. The crash is still being investigated.
