2 tablespoons peanut oil
1 lb. thin green beans, halved
2 fresh red chiles, seeded and sliced
1/2 teaspoon ground star anise
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
2 tablespoons clear honey
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
Heat the peanut oil in preheated wok or large, heavy skillet until it is almost smoking.
Reduce the heat slightly, then add the green beans and stir-fry for 1 minute.
Add the red chiles, star anise, and garlic to the wok and stir-fry for an additional 30 seconds.
Mix the soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil together in a small bowl.
Stir the sauce mixture into the wok. Cook for 2 minutes, tossing the beans to ensure that they are thoroughly coated in the sauce.
Transfer the mixture to a warmed serving dish and serve immediately.
