PFONT face=Arial size=2FONT face=Arial size=2James Davis is being even more careful than before. Just days after being shot at, and forced into the trunk of his new Dodge Challenger during an attempted carjacking in front of his Pearland home. /P
PThat carjacking early Monday morning, sparked a 12-hour manhunt for Nicholas Jean who was caught, and eventually admitted to being involved in another crime– the carjacking, kidnapping, and murder of Susana De Jesus. /P
PAccording to court documents, when Jean attacked- Davis first fought back, but complied after Jean fired a shot that just missed him. Once Davis was in the trunk of his own car he could hear that jean was having trouble starting the car. Davis hit the trunk release button, hopped out and ran, but Jean fired again, and chased him down. As the gunman tried to force him back to the car the police arrived./P
PPearland Police say Jean will be charged with attempted murder for shooting at Davis. But they have not yet been able to connect jean to other crimes in the area. /P
PWithin the city limits of Pearland, we’ve had some burglaries that have occurred, and the information we obtained from the suspect possibly connecting him to the suspect are unconfirmed at this time, said Lt. Onesimo Lopez./P/FONT/FONT
