PThere’s new details emerging about what may have caused a major accident involving two trucks with the Houston Fire Department. Three of the 11 people hurt remain in the hospital. /P
PA Houston Police spokesperson says the preliminary focus is that the driver of a ladder truck may have run a red light. Both the ladder truck and a pumper trucks were on their way to what turned out to be a false alarm at a nearby apartment complex. /P
POn the way to prove if the light was red could come from a surveillance camera at a nearby convenience store. The hard-drive has been turned over to investigators, but technical issues may prevent the video from being recovered. /P
PTwo of the nine firefighters hurt remain in the hospital Capt. Mike Mayfield and Brian Edwards are dealing with broken bones and surgery. They were both on the pumper truck. /P
PWhen they came out of anesthesia they asked about that girl even though they were seriously injured, says Capt. Jeff Powell, who visited the men on Tuesday. /P
PThat girl they were referring to is Leigh Boone. The 29-year-old was seriously hurt and in critical condition. She was riding her bike to work at a nearby clothing store when the ladder truck fell right next to her./P
