“It’s as if without them having been indicted or having had a trial, it seems as if they’ve already been convicted and punished,” said Ment Turbiville.brbrShe is still in disbelief over allegations her son and daughter-in-law ran Houston’s largest brothel.brbrMent Turbiville broke her silence today, coming to the couple’s defense and questioning the evidence against them… brbr“This so called fact of a list of 1500 names of athletes, lawyers, and doctors … That doesn’t seem to be there.”brbr33 year-old Deborah Turbiville, has been called everything from the Heidi Fleiss of Houston to the Memorial Madam. brbrShe and her 31 year-old husband, Charles, were arrested March 10th. Police say they ran a brothel and call girl operation on Memorial Drive and out of hotel rooms.brbrThe DA’s office charged them with promoting prostitution. They later made bail and are now back at home with their one and three year-old daughters. brbrThey still can’t speak for themselves,” said Ment Turbiville. “ It’s still under investigation.brbrShe shared with us a picture of the couple at their home… It was a stark contrast to the mug shots released by police.brbr“They are a precious loving family,” said Turbiville. brbrBut she was unable to say just what she thought the couple did for a living.brbr“I had no previous knowledge.brbrThe couple and their attorney still haven’t fully denied the allegations.brbr“At this point in the proceeding, they are not required to enter a plea,” said Keisha Smith, the defense attorney. “We’re in negotiation.brbrThe couple will reappear in court April 15.brbr
