Snowstorm’s Fury Brings East Coast To Standstill

The second major snowstorm in less than a week roared across the Northeast as the National Weather Service issued blizzard warnings in cities from Washington to New York. Officials in some areas pulled snowplows off the roads because of whiteout conditions and gale-force winds.
