Dry Windy Weather Could Increase Fire Danger

PThere’s a windy weekend ahead and combined with the dry weather we’ve had recently that adds to a real threat of brush fires in our area. All of southeast Texas is under risk for wildfires Saturday. There are concerns particularly for areas west of Houston. Winds are expected to increase drastically while dry air filters across the area; a potential environment for fast spreading fires./P
PBurn bans are also in effect for a large portion of Texas and much of our area. In fact, every county, with the exceptions of Polk, Liberty, Montgomery, and Fort Bend are under a county ban./P/FONT
