The 2009 Trail Ride has a very special meaning for Natalie Viera. I’m a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed a year ago with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and I couldn’t ride for several years said Viera.BRBROnce doctors figured out what was making her sick, she spent months undergoing chemo therapy treatments. Natalie missed last year’s trail ride.BRBRThis year Natalie has been on horseback every day during the two week trail ride from San Antonio to Houston. She’s tough, everybody has been asking Natalie are you still riding her father said. Tomorrow is the last day of the ride 14 day ride.BRBRNatalie and her father Daniel Viera ride for the Mission Trail Riders which is based in Fort Bend County.BRBRNatalie has no doubt she’ll complete her goal on Saturday. This was one of my biggest events that I got to do after chemo.BRBRHer Dad was so proud that he purchased a pink saddle for her. Turns out the person selling the saddle put it up for sale to raise money for another cancer patient. BRBRShe said I’m trying to raise funds for a cancer patient. I said wow, the reason I’m buying it is for a cancer patient. My daughter has lymphoma Daniel said.BRBRNatalie’s cancer is in remission. She’ll be tested again soon and her father things doctors will say she’s been cured.BRBRI wanted to just make a statement, let everyone know that just because I had cancer I am still a strong person. I can ride for 2 weeks, said Natalie. BRBRSaturday she will reach her goal.BRBRBR
